About our Wait Times
As with any Emergency or Urgent Care facility, patients with higher severity or more urgent needs will take priority and your wait times can vary. What you see posted here represents the average times from arrival to triage, treatment, and back on your way home at our Baymeadows, Lane, and New Kings locations, in 2025. These are updated monthly.
ER wait times: shorter than you might think.
Many variables affect how long you’ll wait for care in an emergency room (ER). Time of day, holidays and other issues make a big difference. At UF Health Jacksonville, we are committed to assessing your medical need — and addressing it — as quickly as possible.
You may be surprised by how quickly we prioritize the urgency of patients when you walk through our doors. We take pride in keeping our wait times shorter than most other ERs.
Urgent care wait times: lower than average.
Most patients who visit a UF Health Emergency & Urgent Care Center only need urgent care services. Just like the ER, several factors affect wait times for urgent care.
Your health and safety are our top priorities, so the quicker we know what types of tests and care you need, the better. The total wait time you’ll spend at one of our centers is likely much shorter than at other walk-in centers.
